It’s Ready! #day4

I finally did have to get in touch with somebody from technical support; they were very helpful and they got the IP settings changed over so that the site works now. This is a very good thing, though I’m still unclear as to why it wasn’t done before. The thing that annoys me the most is that they had my domain name attached to a generic launch pad that contained a link to something pertaining to Nicki Minaj. I mean absolutely no offense to Ms. Minaj, but I do not enjoy her music. I really, really don’t. I don’t know how it sells and I don’t want my name attached to it.

Now that it works, it’s time to start posting on it. The stated goal is to transfer my now established habit from posting music everyday to Facebook to instead post it every day on my own platform. Like everything I’ve been doing since the beginning of spring, this is just another exercise. We (me) are working to improve our skill set and build our portfolio over time. I’m not in any kind of a hurry. This is about doing it right, not doing it quickly. The speed will surely come as I continue to practice the proper techniques.

There’s not much to any of my sites yet. Now that I know it works and will function, I will begin making daily changes to all my existing pages while planning for the next one I’m going to build. This is not a small endeavor. There is a lot involved in a what I’m doing; there are quite a few small and moving parts that I need to account for as I move forward. I also have to account for other people who will also be working with me on various projects. This is an exciting prospect; this is an important day in history.

Still Waiting #Day3

Still waiting on the server to catch up. Now that I know it can take such an extraordinary amount of time, I’m going to plan ahead for the next several steps. For now, I’m designing the new format. I have a loose, but solid master plan; I’m zipping around here, there, and everywhere, but I’m heading in the right direction. It’s not motivation I need more of right now…it’s discipline. When the server clicks I’m live. #victoryislife

Mobile Link -A Step

I hooked this site up to my phone to help encourage me to post more here instead of Facebook. From here, I will figure out how to build the rest of the platform exactly to my specifications. This particular blog is for me to focus on and talk about my projects; what my hopes, plans, and dreams for them are.

I’m happy and excited to be going through this undertaking. Step-by-step, one day at a time.

Another Step #Day2

I worked a bit on tweaking the sites I already have put together. A pebble every day is all it takes to build a mountain over time. I’m taking it easy; I see no reason to be in a hurry. A person once told me “Slow and Steady Wins the Race” and I believe it. It reminds me of the story of the Old Bull:

“Old Bull is standing on the hill with Young Bull.
Together they look down upon the Cows.
Young Bull gets excited and tells Old Bull:
“I want to run down there and fuck one of them!”
Old Bull tells Young Bull to hold up, but Young Bull won’t listen;
He keeps going:
“Yeah! I want to RUN down there and fuck ONE of them!”
Once again Old Bull tries to impart wisdom on Young Bull,
But Young Bull is impatient:
“You can stay up here by yourself, Old Bull, but I’m going to make a BIG SHOW of it!
I’m going to RUN down there and fuck ONE of those Cows! Just watch!”
Old Bull realizes by now that he’s not going to talk any sense into the youngster.
This is his response:
“You go on ahead and run down there and fuck one of them Cows, Young Bull.
I’m going to WALK down there and fuck them ALL.”

I’m the man with the slow hand.
I’m going to do it and do it right.
And I’m going to be at it for just as long as it takes.
If you don’t believe me, just watch.

I’ve been using Facebook to exercise my abilities and get into a pattern of behavior. I believe I’ve gone just about as far as Facebook can take me and so now it’s time to start branching out on my own into something a little more public, a little more professional, and a little more worth my time. This is the start of my platform. It begins here.

Continuing Efforts…

Another day, another post. Again, this is just a quick demonstrative effort to establish good habits. If I continue to do well, I will be posting again and again and again about actual things. Right now at this moment I have neither the time nor the motivation to construct a narrative so we will be satisfied with what we’ve got and move on. I wish everyone a happy day. Keeping it Real

This is just a dummy post to show myself that I am working on this project. If all goes according to plan, I shall begin making daily posts and showing myself progress.  For now, all I have to show is this domain, this site, and this one web post.
