A Whole New World

I don’t need to try to control you. Look into my eyes and I’ll own you.

The Way I Are — Timbaland
I’m about to strip and I’m well equipped. Can you handle me the way I are?

Ego is a wonderful thing when you can keep a handle on it. Your subjective sense of self can help you navigate through terrain your other natural senses are unable to process. You need your ego if you are ever to achieve anything. There is no problem at all with a healthy ego. When the balance tips too far into a certain direction, however, things become toxic. While nobody respects a sniveller, it is pride that comes before the crash. (Proverbs 16:18) There’s a difference between being stalwart and being arrogant. The people who will inherit the earth are the people who have swords, know how to use them, and choose to keep them sheathed. Vanity leads quickly to the destruction of the foolish. It is harder to walk away than it is to jump in with both feet. Do not mistake wisdom for cowardice.

Do or do not. There is no try.

According to the Old Tradition, there was an Angel in Heaven who sought to be the equal to God. (Consider that for just a moment. Think about what an Angel is. Think about what it represents. Then, in this context, think about God.) What could stand up against the will of God? (…) Nothing. Nothing could stand up against the will of God. NOTHING! And so we have story about the crash. It’s archetypal in nature and easy to understand. The primary antagonist in this narrative of life began its downfall over pride. Different traditions spell it out differently, but the point is the same across every structure. If you consider your own circumstances honestly, I’m certain you will be able to uncover times when you failed to submit to proper authority and it didn’t turn out well for you. The goal, then, is not to be equal to ‘God‘, but to strive to be worthy of it.

Relax, don’t do it when you want to go to it.

Give me your heart. Make it real. Or else: Forget about it.

Sanity

There is a season for everything. (To live. To love. To laugh. To cry. To grow. To mourn. To move. To die.) Timing is the most important thing. A proper note struck during the wrong measure can result in a ruined tune. The wrong word spoken to the wrong person and dispel any semblance of reason. These are the facts of life. Positivity will get you everywhere, and the right word spoken will open any door. It’s not a game, but it plays like one. Life is the ultimate simulation; we are merely holograms riding the energetic wave. The rules are the rules, and the consequences are real.

Part of me, won’t agree,
Cause I don’t know if it’s for sure.

Why don’t you come with me, little girl, on a magic carpet ride?

That’s all for now.
Until next time,
Thank you;
